Carolina Herrera Opens D.C. Boutique

Carolina Herrera Ltd. (New York) opened a new CH Carolina Herrera boutique in CityCenterDC, in Washington, D.C. The 2400-square-foot store features ballgowns, luncheon suits, shoes, accessories, limited-edition tote bags created specifically for the store’s opening, as well as men’s sportswear.

Herrera was in attendance and greeted guests at the grand opening, which included a variety of celebrity and high-profile guests, including Kathleen Biden (daughter-in-law to Vice President Joe Biden), reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Ten percent of the evening’s proceeds benefited the National Portrait Gallery, where a photograph of Herrera by Robert Mapplethorpe is on display.
