Casual Male Retail Group Inc. (Canton, Mass.) has completed the previously announced sale of its 32 remaining Levi’s/Dockers Outlet stores to the Hub Holding Corp. affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc. (Boca Raton, Fla.) for approximately $12.8 million in cash. The operator of 496 Casual Male Big & Tall stores and 22 Rochester Big & Tall stores said the proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce its outstanding debt under its revolving line of credit.

“The sale comes at a very opportune time for Casual Male, as we begin our integration of the Rochester brand and the start of the holiday season,” said president and ceo David Levin. “We are focused on driving traffic to our stores and providing an enjoyable shopping experience to our customers.”

Designs Inc., which operated the closeout and irregular outlet chain comprised of Levi’s Outlet by Designs, Dockers Outlet by Designs and Candie’s, bought Casual Male in May 2002 and adopted the better-known name in August. Earlier this month, it completed the acquisition of the Rochester Big & Tall chain.
