Cincinnati’s Biggest Mall is For Sale

Former Cincinnati Mills seeks new owner, development investors

Forest Fair Village, the former Cincinnati Mills, has been put up for sale by World Properties Inc., listed at $45 million.

The Cincinnati region’s largest mall was built in 2004, just as the retail empire of The Mills Corp. (Arlington, Va.) began to crumble. The 7 acre, 2 million-square-foot mall, now known as Forest Fair Village, is currently 50 percent occupied with tenants such as Bass Pro Shops and Babies R Us.

According to The Cincinnati Business Courier, announcements were made in 2011 for a redevelopment plan that included an ice arena, indoor water park and a hotel. That project never occurred. Neither did one later that year for the addition of a sports complex, to be called Cincinnati Sport Zone – though that project is apparently still alive.
