Coach Expands in China

Coach Inc. (New York) plans to add 30 new stores to its China footprint in the next month, according to China Retail News.

The American luxury brand's overall third quarter sales reflected a year-over-year decrease of 7 percent. Sales in the Chinese market, however, grew by 25 percent in the same period, the website reported.

A representative from Coach China said the 30 news stores will be located in cities with high potential and high population density.

Coach currently operates 147 stores in the China region, including Hong Kong and Macau.
