Comp Sales Up in August at Limited Brands

Columbus, Ohio-based Limited Brands Inc. reports comparable store sales grew 8 percent for the four weeks ended August 25. Net sales tallied $665.6 million for the four-week period, compared to net sales of $702.4 million last year. August 2011 net sales included $87.8 million and $518.3 million attributable to the third party apparel sourcing business, which was sold in November 2011.

Through its Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, La Senza and Henri Bendel nameplates, Limited Brands operates 2622 specialty stores in the U.S. and more than 700 company-operated and franchised additional locations world-wide.
