Dalziel & Pow appointed to design kikki.K global store concept

Dalziel & Pow have been appointed to design a new flagship store concept for Swedish design brand, kikki.K. The concept will create the template for global expansion for the premium lifestyle brand.

Dalziel & Pow are currently working on kikki.K’s new world-first store concept. The store concept draws on kikki.K’s Swedish heritage and design philosophy and integrates subtle personal touches from the founder and Creative Director, Kristina Karlsson who heads the brand’s design team and remains very much at the heart of the business.

Positioned as an aspirational lifestyle brand, kikki.K is passionate about creating beautiful Swedish design that inspires and empowers people around the globe to live their best life, every day. Selling unique, Swedish designed homewares, gifts and leather accessories as well as the core stationery offering, kikki.K has recently announced plans for expansion in the UK.

Kristina and her global team are taking a relatively exclusive approach to site selection and property strategy for the UK, with plans to open a handful of boutiques in the very best locations in London and make them a wonderful brand experience for customers.

Kristina Karlsson, Founder and Creative Director of kikki.K said:

“I’ve always dreamed of opening kikki.K boutiques in my favourite cities right across the globe, so it’s a dream come true to be planning to open in London, where we know there are so many kikki.K lovers already!” says Karlsson.

“We’re just as thrilled to be working with Dalziel & Pow on our exciting new store concept. I just can’t wait to see it come to life!” she adds.

The kikki.K brand has achieved a cultlike following internationally in a very short period of time – driven by word-of-mouth on social media – and customers in over 137 countries regularly buy from kikki.K online. The Dalziel & Pow store design concept will have a focus on integrating the online and social media experience of kikki.K customers with their experience in kikki.K’s physical stores.

David Dalziel, Creative Director of Dalziel & Pow, said:

‘We are so pleased to be working with kikki.K at this very pivotal moment on their global journey, it’s an exciting opportunity for us all. kikki.K are one of the very few international retailers who have a strong, authentic story to tell. Their concept will be unique, rich and immersive, a truly engaging brand experience that can compete on the international stage.’
