Dan Evans To Head sevencontinents

Jim Shier, executive vp of corporate development for Ontario Store Fixtures (Toronto) has announced the appointment of industry veteran Dan Evans as president of its sevencontinents subsidiary.

Evans, most recently executive vp of sales, marketing and design for MET/Edron, the Fashion and Design Group, a division of Leggett & Platt Inc., will report directly to Shier.

Before joining MET Merchandising Concepts, Evans was executive vp of design, marketing and sales for Design Industries Inc. (Indianapolis). He also spent 13 years with Hartmarx Corp., the parent company of Hart Schaffner & Marx, where he served as senior vp of design, store planning/construction and visual merchandising.

Evans is also currently president of the National Association of Display Industries (NADI).
