DCI-Artform Celebrates 70 Years

MILWAUKEE (June 27, 2014) – DCI-Artform celebrates 70 years in business this month. Originated as a small printing company in 1944, DCI-Artform has evolved into a global leader in innovative retail marketing and experience solutions. Although the company has gone through many changes, it still has the same the high standards as it did 70 years ago.

“This is a very special time in our history,” said Mike Doody, Chief Executive Officer of DCI-Artform. “Having recently been purchased by a division of Berkshire Hathaway, we take this month to celebrate how far we’ve come. DCI-Artform is grateful for all the hard-working individuals that have made the success of this company possible and we look forward many more anniversaries to come.”

In the 1960s, DCI-Artform (formerly DCI Marketing) shifted its focus from printing to in-store merchandising and display solutions, and won its first awards at the inaugural POPAI Display Awards Contest. Since, DCI-Artform has grown its practice to develop in-store and shopper marketing programs for numerous Fortune 100 clients, including multi-decade relationships with Subaru, Cadillac and Microsoft.

At the turn of the century, DCI-Artform refocused its business on consumer insights and the shopper journey, developing a trademarked approached called “Retail Science,” in which all solutions are thoughtfully and strategically developed to ensure success for both clients and their customers. The Retail Science methodology is best represented by the InVision Retail Science Lab, located within the DCI-Artform U.S. headquarters in Milwaukee, where the firm conducts research and rapid prototyping in its unique 3-D visualization studio nicknamed the “CAVE.” DCI-Artform also developed a renowned in-store digital practice that focuses on connecting shoppers with retail brands via online, mobile and interactive engagement.

In recent years, DCI-Artform united with the former Artform International, Ltd. headquartered in Loughborough, UK and several other smaller retail merchandising firms to create a global organization dedicated to serving shoppers no matter what their needs may be. Now a full-service, integrated firm, DCI-Artform offers a wide range of expertise and decades of experience in retail merchandising and marketing for the automotive, cosmetics, grocery, packaged goods, image retail and consumer electronics industries.
