Deborah Douglass, a Mesa, Ariz.-based publishing veteran, has joined the Varrone Media sales team to cover the West Coast for VM+SD magazine, effective June 16, 2004.

“Deborah, whose background includes successful sales representation of leading magazines such as Hospitality Design, Restaurant Business Foodservice Director and Institutional Distribution, has a unique and preferred combination of advertising sales savvy, consultative sales style and store design market experience,” according to Angelo Varrone, president of Varrone Media, the national representative for VM+SD magazine. “We're thrilled to have Deborah join Russ Eisenhardt and Craig Henderson, the other pros on our team. Now that she is taking over our last-remaining open territory, VM+SD has a world-class sales team of three experienced, knowledgeable professionals, poised to serve our customers at a much higher level.”

Douglass will work from her Mesa office covering this key territory.

Published by Cincinnati, Ohio-based ST Media Group International Inc., VM+SD is the leading magazine and voice for the store design and visual merchandising industry, with award-winning editorial content and the largest circulation (more than 27,000) in its field. Additionally, VM+SD serves the retail design industry worldwide through: vmsd.com (www.vmsd.com) the most trafficked site in the industry with more than 7,500 unique user sessions daily and more than 150,000 visits per month; the VM+SD International Retail Design Conference, retail design's premier educational and networking event, attended by more than 300 key retailers and contract-design specifiers; and StoreXpo the retail-design industry's only major trade show in the eastern U.S., part of the important New York Winter Market and, in 2004, co-locating with The P-O-P Show.
