Dick’s Wins Sports Authority Property

Dick's Sporting Goods (Coraopolis, Pa.) placed the highest bid at an auction for Sports Authority's (Englewood, Colo.) intellectual property and leases for 31 retail locations.

The $15 million bid includes the Sports Authority brand name, website, a loyalty program with 28.5 million members and a list of 114 million customer files, reports the New York Business Journal. It also includes 31 retail locations from the chain’s 450 stores nationwide.
