Elie Tahari is the latest luxury designer to sign on with Kohl’s Department Stores (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) to design a women’s clothing collection for the retailer’s DesigNation line. The Tahari capsule collection will arrive in Kohl’s stores this Fall.

Launched in fall 2012, Kohl’s DesigNation project enlists luxury brand designers to produce mass retail lines inspired by global locales. Past designers include Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam and Catherine Malandrino. An upcoming collaboration with Peter Som will launch next week.

Tahari’s DesigNation collection will draw creative inspiration from New York and mirror “the sophisticated, urban chic vibe of the city,” according to a statement from Kohl’s. The line will include dresses, sweaters, knit tops and bottoms in shades of blue, black and ivory. Items will retail from $40 to $175.

Elie Tahari is a privately held corporation with a global presence on five continents and in more than 600 stores worldwide. Additionally, Elie Tahari has free-standing boutiques in seven U.S. cities and throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
