FGI to Host Chicago Retail Symposium

The Chicago chapter of Fashion Group International, in conjunction with Google, will host “New Realities: A Retail Symposium”. The event will look at how retail is re-inventing the rules to reach consumers, and will be held Nov. 3 at Columbia College (Chicago). 

Among the sessions, keynote speaker Julie Krueger, retail industry director, at Google, will keynote. Shia Kapos, “Taking Names” columnist at the Chicago Sun-Times, will lead a panel discussion on how retailers and brands are engaging consumers in a broad range of retail experiences. Panelists include Michael Fischer, senior designer, Buckettfeet; April Francis, ceo, Dose Market; Erick Soderstrom, vp of marketing, Flor; Mary Emerine, senior sales director, Trunk Club; and Marcy Hoklas, category manager, color, Walgreen’s.
