The Neiman Marcus Group (Dallas) announced plans to open Last Call From Neiman Marcus, the department store's off-price clearance chain, in Grapevine (Texas) Mills in 2002. The 32,000-sq.-ft. store will be the first northern Texas location for the Neiman Marcus offshoot.

“We are excited about bringing Last Call From Neiman Marcus to residents of the area that Neiman Marcus calls home,” said Tom Stangle, senior vp and director of stores for the retailer. Approximately 10 Last Call locations exist around the country. Currently, the closest other Last Call store is in Austin, Texas.

Last Call From Neiman Marcus offers a consolidation of marked-down merchandise from the upscale retailer's 32 stores nationwide and the organization's Bergdorf Goodman operation, as well. Prices are typically 40 to 80 percent off the original selling price.

The 1.5 million-sq.-ft. Grapevine Mills, located near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, has more than 200 manufacturer and retail outlets, off-price retailers, specialty stores and dining and entertainment venues. The Mills Corp. (Arlington, Va.) has developed and operates 12 retail centers in 10 states around the country totaling approximately 17 million square feet. The 13th, Discover Mills in suburban Atlanta, will open in November, 2001. The company has five projects currently under construction and/or development in the United States, and two international projects on the boards, in Toronto and Madrid.
