Fitch in the Smithsonian

Fitch international brand consultancy (Columbus, Ohio) designed the MoCCA, or Mobile Computing and Communication Appliance, which has been chosen to enter the permanent design collection of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum at the Smithsonian Institution.

The small, dual-screen, wireless device provides multiple communication functions, including e-mail and Internet access, videoconferences, data input and retrieval, and more. Users issue commands through voice, touch or movement activation using the device's built-in camera and microphone.

As part of the museum's Department of Applied Arts and Industrial Design, the MoCCA will continue an ongoing display of technological progress. The 30,000 objects housed in this department range from ancient Greek vessels to today's computing appliances.
