ShopKo Stores promotes John Harmon; Leni Schwendinger Light Projects relocates; BoConcept to open Chelsea store

Management Changes:

ShopKo Stores Inc. (Green Bay, Wis.) has promoted John Harmon to director, construction and facilities management.

BTV+ (Mississauga, Ont., provider of digital signage networks) has appointed Robert Caputo vp, finance and administration.

Do it Best Corp. (Fort Wayne, Ind., buying cooperative for the home improvement industry) has hired John Clapp as merchandise manager for plumbing products.

Store Openings/Contracts:

BoConcept of Manhattan (New York franchisee of Denka Holding, a Denmark-based seller of home furnishings) will open a store on 18th Street in Chelsea on April 1. The new store, with about 6500 square feet of space, will be the second New York locale for owners Niki and Shaokao Cheng (the first is on Madison Avenue).

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland (Frankenmuth, Mich., Christmas store) announced that its village displays have been revamped by Jill Schlung, senior village display artist at Department 56 Inc. (Eden Prairie, Minn., collectible and giftware company). Bronner's has also begun a remodeling program that will add 2100 square feet to its salesroom.
