Chippenhook Expands Sales Exec's Territory; Panel Processing Acquires AFCO Panel Assets; DTLR Plans Expansion

Management Changes:

Chippenhook (Lewisville, Texas, display, packaging and fixture company) announced that senior account executive Lisa Young has been given added sales responsibilities in the company's Southeast region, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and the Caribbean.


Mergers and Acquisitions

Panel Processing Inc. (Alpena, Mich., producer of fabricated panel components) has reached an agreement to acquire certain assets of AFCO Panel Products (Holland, Mich., manufacturer of markerboard, tile board and fabricated panel products). The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.

Store Openings/Contracts:

Levtran Enterprises Inc. (Baltimore operator of the 50-store DTLR urban lifestyle retail chain) is teaming with Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. LLC (New York private equity investment firm), to open stores in the Midwest and South, including Chicago in 2006 and Houston in 2007.

The Festival Cos. (Los Angeles real estate advisory firm and shopping center developer) announces the following store openings: Coming to its Costa Mesa Courtyards, Costa Mesa, Calif., are a MedSpa Boutique, Calico Corners and SuperCuts; Del Amo Metro, Lakewood, Calif., is adding a Starbucks; the Town Center Plaza, Yorba Linda, Calif., is getting a Juice Zone; and Crenshaw Gateway, Inglewood, Calif., is adding an H&R Block.
