FRCH Promotes 10 Staffers … and More Industry News

MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Lumotech (Heerhugowaard, Netherlands), part of the Nualight Group, has announced its new general manager, Edgar Langen, a lighting expert with experience in LEDs and related electronics.

Lighting Services Inc. (Union City, Tenn.) has brought Brian Keilt to its sales force as the regional sales manager for the Eastern U.S. and Canada. Keilt brings over 23 years of experience to his new position.

FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati, Ohio) has promoted 10 of its staff members: Tracy Bender to the role of senior graphic designer in the Hospitality Studio; Lauren Farquhar to the role of senior interior designer in the Specialty Retail Studio; Doug Bunker to the director of graphic design in the Specialty Retail Studio; Amy Foster to the role of senior knowledge administrator in the Information Technology Department; Chad Marchese to the director of graphic design in the Hospitality Studio; Rachel Leson to senior interior designer in the Hospitality Studio; Christina Paul to senior interior designer in the Specialty Retail Architecture Studio; Aaron Ruef to the director in the Specialty Retail Studio; Ian Ramous to the senior project leader in the Specialty Retail Architecture Studio; and Jonathan Wood to senior BIM model manager in the Department Stores Studio.

SEGD (Washington, D.C.) has appointed six new members to its international board of directors, including its first member from Australia. Members include Richard Bencivengo from Lexington Design + Fabrication (Pacoima, Calif.); Cynthia Hall from Studio SC (Seattle); J. Graham Hanson from Graham Hanson Design (New York); Alan Jacobson from ex;it (Philadelphia); Bryan Meszaros from OpenEye (South Amboy, N.J.); and Stephen Minning from BrandCulture Communications (Sydney).

BUSINESS BRIEFS
Bonaldo (Villanova, Italy) and Axo Light (Venezia, Italy) won the Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design Award 2012. Bonaldo won the award for “Still,” its collection of six tables designed by Bartoli Design; while Axo Light won for “Nafir,” lighting fixtures designed by Karim Rashid.

Storage (Amsterdam, Netherlands), a retail design agency, is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a plethora of new Chinese clients. Five new clients include Cocoon, a luxury women’s brand; Hongkee, a footwear retailer; Copais, a distributer of women’s brands; Betu, a fashion brand; and Xlangtal, a machine casings creator. The agency also recently completed flagships in Beijing and Shanghai for sports apparel store Li Ning.

ABC Mannequins (Milan) will be presenting its collections at the CPM International Fashion Trade Show, held in Moscow from Feb. 26 to March 1. In presenting their top collections, 26 specially designed mannequins will be on display.
