An increasing demand for fresh produce has prompted Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market to expand its “Farm to Store in 24” program, which guarantees customers’ produce spent less than a single day traveling between its farm life and the store shelves.

The grocer says it’s important that the farms it partners with share the dedication to consistently providing produce within 24 hours.

“Getting produce from the farm to the store in 24 hours or less is an incredibly tricky task, which makes it important to partner with strong local growers who share our commitment to quality produce,” according to Justin Hill, Fresh & Easy's produce manager. “We are working closely with these growers here to put in the extra care required to expand our 'Farm to Store in 24' offerings whenever we can.”

All “Farm to Store in 24” produce is grown in California, as is 65 percent of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market’s total produce. The types of produce that adhere to the 24-hour promise will vary according to season.
