Gap Acquires Drapr

Gap Inc. (San Francisco) has acquired Drapr (San Francisco), an e-commerce startup that uses 3-D technology allowing customers to create avatars and virtually try clothes on at home, according to a company press release.

“Drapr’s technology will help us continue to build on this expertise and deliver a more personalized and inclusive fit experience for all of our customers by showing them how an item will actually look on their body while also recommending the best fit for them based on their individual preferences,” says President, CEO of Old Navy, Nancy Green.

The company believes Drapr will help to minimize returns with online shopping.
