Gap Exec Resigns

In the midst of unfamiliar struggles by Gap Inc., the San Francisco-based retail organization's executive vp of marketing for the Gap brand announced his resignation. Jim Nevins,42, reportedly left the company after he was asked to focus more on strategic marketing, rather than on his usual creative work. While the company proceeds with an external search for Nevins'replacement, Amy Schoening, head of marketing for Banana Republic, will take on his responsibilities.
