Gap to Open 1969 Concept Store in NY

San Francisco-based Gap Inc. has signed a long-term lease for a 2800-square-foot Gap 1969 store at 513 Broadway, between Spring and Broome streets in SoHo. The shop will focus on selling the brand’s Gap 1969 denim collection, along with some apparel from Gap's regular collections, according to Crain Communications Inc.

The location marks the third Gap 1969 store to open in the U.S. over the last two years, joining Los Angeles and Chicago. A 14,000-square-foot temporary concept store has been in operation at 524 Broadway for about a year.

The site formerly housed a Payless ShoeSource.
