Groupe Dynamite Plans U.S. Expansion

Groupe Dynamite (Montreal) is planning a major expansion of its Garage and Dynamite fast fashion chains in the U.S. Groupe Dynamite president Anna Martini told Women’s Wear Daily that the company plans to open 500 U.S. stores within the next five to seven years. Currently, Groupe Dynamite operates 45 Garage stores in the U.S., as well as 25 locations in the Middle East and 145 in Canada. It also currently operates five Dynamite stores in the U.S. and plans to increase that figure to 100 over the next five years.

Over the last four years, the company has invested $40 million in an overhaul of its software. Groupe Dynamite said the upgrades have allowed the company to leverage data to better understand the merchandising needs of each store.
