3) Fenwick, Kent, England, “A Perfect Christmas at Fenwick.” This traditional display features a winter scene, gifts and just the right amount of sparkle. 4) Macy’s Herald Square, New York, “Dream… and Believe.” These windows tell the original story of a young child’s dream on Christmas Eve, when he’s transported to a crystal forest and learns the meaning of the holidays. 5) Bloomingdale’s, New York, “All Wrapped Up in Bloomingdale’s.” Using architectural imagery, Bloomingdale’s took patrons to an array of countries  — China, France, Italy and Britain – along with New York. Each vignette, like this window with Queen Elizabeth II carrying a plethora of Bloomingdale’s shopping bags, has a hint of humor. 7) Holt Renfrew, Toronto, “Northern Noel.” The setting to this narrative is in a hip ski lodge focusing on entertainment and relaxing; and was influenced by vintage Canadian ski posters. 9) De Bijenkorf, Amsterdam, “While You Were Sleeping.” This series depicts an enchanted forest inhabited by mysterious creatures, fairytale cues and references to nature.
