Homecoming At a Wine Store

Two large wine companies have commissioned Frank O.Gehry & Associates (San Francisco) to design a winery at a 35-acre vineyard development in Canada's Niagara Peninsula. Itwill be the Canadian-born architect's first project in his homeland.

The 30,000-sq.-ft. winery at Le Clos Jordan – the result of a partnership between Vincor International (Canada's largest wine company) and Boisset, La Famille des Grands Vins (France's leading Burgundy producer) – will not only be a fully integrated winery but will also include retail, a small cafŽ and dining facilities.
