Hospitality Exec Joins Macy’s Board

Macy’s Inc. (Cincinnati) has added Stephen Bollenbach, co-chairman and ceo of Hilton Hotels Corp. (Beverly Hills, Calif.) to its board of directors.

“Stephen Bollenbach is one of our nation’s most distinguished business leaders, and brings a depth of expertise in finance and operations for leading consumer-driven organizations,” said Macy’s chairman, president and ceo Terry Lundgren. “He will be an invaluable resource as we continue to build and develop our company as a premier national retailer focused on the Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s brands.”

Bollenbach joined Hilton as ceo in 1996 and was named co-chairman in 2004. Prior to joining Hilton, he was senior executive vp and chief financial officer of The Walt Disney Co. (Burbank, Calif.). He had previously been president and ceo of Host Marriott Corp. (Bethesda, Md.). Aside from Hilton, Bollenbach serves as non-executive chairman of KB Home (Los Angeles) and as a director of Time Warner Inc. (New York) and Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. (Las Vegas).
