Jo-Ann Ceo Resigns

Travis Smith, president and ceo of Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores (Hudson, Ohio) has resigned from his position of three years. Reasons for his departure were not disclosed. The company says that it is “undertaking a comprehensive search to identify a replacement.” Executive vp and cfo Jim Kerr will serve as interim ceo.

According to a company statement, Kerr will work with Riddi Kline, executive v.p. of marketing and merchandising and Tom Williams, executive vp of operations and human resources, to manage the company. Jo-Ann operates more than 830 stores in 49 states.
