Johnny Rockets Goes Big in California

Fast-casual chain Johnny Rockets is expanding, opening its second largest restaurant in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The store size follows the chain’s largest U.S. location in Knott's Berry Farm, which opened in April 2006. In June, the company launched its largest restaurant worldwide in the Dominican Republic.

“When we first designed this restaurant, we wanted it to be the biggest and best eating establishment we could make it,” says franchise partner Nick Thomas. “We started with what is most readily identified with Johnny Rockets – the classic design, all-American menu and dancing servers – and added interesting architectural elements and food items created just for us by local chef Melinda Garland.”

The 5200-square-foot Rancho Mirage location seats 198 guests, including 44 on the outside patio.
