Architect and store planner Kevin Roche, formerly a partner at RYA Design Consultancy (Dallas), has resigned and will be leaving the firm.

“I have always maintained a passionate interest in the integration of branding and business strategies with design innovation and leadership on the client side of the table,” said Roche, who worked out of RYA’s San Francisco office.

“During Kevin’s tenure with RYA he has made an invaluable contribution at an important time in the firm’s development,” said RYA ceo Tom Herndon. “Our client base has never been stronger and the diversification of our clients within our retail sector globally has steadily grown to encompass partnerships throughout North America, Asia and Europe.”

Roche, a member of the VM+SD Editorial Advisory Board, did not indicate what his future plans might be. He was a co-founder of Space Design Intl. (Cincinnati), which merged with Hambrecht Terrell Intl. (New York) to form HTI/SDI, the precursor of FRCH Design Worldwide.
