Michael Kors (New York) has signed a lease for a new store at Crossgates Mall in Albany, N.Y.. Women’s Wear Daily quotes sources saying it’s due to open in the spring of 2014.

This is the second recent fashion get for the upstate mall. Last week, Lord & Taylor (New York) said it would open a 100,000-square-foot Crossgates store next fall. And Crate & Barrel (Northbrook, Ill.) will open a pop-up store in the mall during Christmas, one of only four in the country for the home goods retailer. Mall general manager Joseph Castaldo said he hopes the pop-up will lead to a permanent, full Crate & Barrel store at Crossgates.

The 30-year-old mall is owned and managed by The Pyramid Cos. (Syracuse, N.Y.). At 1.7 million square feet, it’s the fourth-largest mall in New York State. Anchors include Best Buy, Burlington Coat Factory, Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Forever 21, H&M, J.C. Penney and Macy's.
