LEDucation 8 Event Exceeds Expectations for both Attendees and Exhibitors

LEDucation completes its 8th consecutive show in New York City and deems the new two day format and show expansion a great success.

Over 220 leading manufacturers from the United States, Canada, and Europe exhibited their latest Solid State Lighting technologies and products during the busy table top expo recently held in midtown Manhattan at the Sheraton NY Times Square hotel.  Thousands of attendees from across the country joined other lighting designers, interior designers, architects, engineers, students, facility managers, building owners and more for one of the industry’s most popular events on LED technology.

The LEDucation Educational Sessions offered 8 accredited courses and 8 hours of educational programming covering topics in healthcare lighting, controls, budget management with LED projects, lighting design, codes and compliance and more. All sessions were designed to offer a versatile selection of beginner, intermediate and advanced courses with the introduction of a new architectural lighting presentation focused on the Interior Designer followed by a special docent guided tour of the Expo show floor.    To continue to share the educational sessions with those that were not able to attend, all presentations from LEDucation are available for viewing online with daily session videos to be posted soon at www.LEDucation.org .

Due to the annual events continued success over the last eight years, organizers expanded the traditional one day show into a new two day format and moved to a new location that would allow for more exhibitors to participate. The LEDucation 8 event covered a record 29,400 net square feet and spotlighted 220 exhibitors including a record breaking 64 first-time exhibiting companies and at least 8 manufacturers headquartered outside the U.S.  Over 50% of LEDucation 8 exhibitors have already pre-registered to exhibit at LEDucation 9 in 2015. For a complete list of exhibiting companies and links to their websites visit the LEDucation website.
