Located in the hometown of two of the brand’s creative directors – Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch – Les Hommes opened its first Antwerp, Belgium, flagship this past fall. Design firm Piuarch (Milan) helped develop the roughly 2152-square-foot location’s look and feel, which features a range of contrasting materials.
Positioned in a corner storefront, the space makes use of the copious amount of natural light that comes in through its windows, while materials ranging from champagne-colored glass, galvanized steel, concrete and marble provide a texture-heavy visual journey. Geometric fixtures and risers merchandise product and create another layer of contrast against the marble and concrete floors and walls.
This is the second European flagship for the Belgian brand since its location in Milan’s Porta Nuova opened in 2014. The menswear retailer is set to expand to 15 new boutiques throughout Asia within the next three years.
