Maria Loi, cookbook author and one of Greece's top culinary talents and media entrepreneurs, has opened her newest Greek restaurant and first in New York, called Loi.

The restaurant is located on the Upper West Side at 208 West 70th Street (between Amsterdam and West End Avenues).

“Loi offers an original twist to Greek dining for brunch, lunch, cocktails and dinner,” says Loi, who was recently appointed the International Ambassador of Greek Gastronomy for the renowned Chef's Club of Greece. “The restaurant shares many of the Loi family recipes to traditional Greek dining, which have been passed down from my great grandmother.”

The decor features a white brushed beach wood bar and lounge, and wine caves with large clear glass doors. Murals in the main dining room showcase photos of the Corinthian Gulf and Nafpaktos, taken right outside of Maria Loi's home in Greece. The restaurant seats 250 people and can accommodate up to 400 guests for private events.
