Lord & Taylor Debuts Birdcage

Lord & Taylor (New York) has debuted a new, French-inspired shop-in-shop called the Birdcage. Last year, the retailer opened its first Birdcage shop in its New York flagship, where it occupies 1500 square feet, and has now expanded it to 11 more locations, where its size ranges between 500 to 800 square feet.

“The Birdcage was conceived as a place of discovery for our customers with new themes each season,” said Liz Rodbell, president of Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor, which are part of the Hudson’s Bay Co., reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Themed around Parisian chic, the selection will operate through the holiday season offering shoppers a variety of gift-oriented items including apparel, accessories, cosmetics, home products and food.
