Home improvement chain Lowe’s (Mooresville, N.C.) has announced changes at the top of its organization. Joseph “Mike” Mabry has been named the company’s new strategy and experience design officer, and Michael McDermott, chief merchandising officer. Mabry replaces Robert Gfeller, who left the company last month. Mabry will be responsible for “U.S. strategy development, aligning experience design and building a capabilities roadmap to deliver omni-channel customer experiences,” according to a Lowe’s statement.

McDermott succeeds Michael Jones, who assumes the title of Lowe’s chief customer officer. McDermott will oversee merchandising for Lowe's U.S. business, pricing and promotion and all global sourcing. Both Mabry and McDermott will report to Jones.
