Macy’s May Consolidate its Operations

Reported move would eliminate regional operating divisions

Macy's Inc. (Cincinnati) is reportedly planning to reduce expenses by consolidating its regional operating divisions and may announce job cuts in coming days.

Reports on the Internet said the company may discard the regional structure and shift to centralized business model. However, operations at New York-based Bloomingdale's are not expected to be part of the consolidation drive.
