Macy’s Suspends Trump Menswear Collection

Macy’s Inc. (Cincinnati, Ohio) announced that it will no longer be continuing its partnership with Donald Trump and his Trump menswear collection, which the department store has been selling in stores since 2004.

The split is a result of remarks Trump made about Mexican immigrants during his speech last month announcing his candidacy for the 2016 Presidential bid. More than 728,000 customers found the remarks discriminatory and signed an online petition urging the retailer to end the partnership with Trump.

The company plans to phase out the menswear collection, which includes $70 shirts and $65 ties, reports The National Post.
