Store Displays Improve Benetton’s Sales

The Benetton Group (Treviso, Italy) has announced that the company’s recent initiatives to reinvigorate and grow the business are proving successful. In the first half of the year, the company’s retail sales increased 10 percent.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, part of the growth is credited to the company’s rollout of its new On Canvas concept, which offers a modular, flexible framework for displaying its main in-store fashion collections. The concept has been introduced in 40 stores worldwide, and in Milan stores, those changes increased stores’ performances by 14 to 27 percent. In Barcelona, the changes increased sales by 30 percent. The company plans to refurbish 30 more stores this year with the On Canvas model.

The company said that other changes that improved the company’s performance include improved operations systems and strong 2015 spring collections.
