AWARD OF MERIT – HOLIDAY WINDOW DISPLAY
“Cinderella”
Marshall Field's,
Chicago

More than 25 artisans joined hands to re-create the classic story, “Cinderella,” for Marshall Field's State Street holiday windows. Eleven whimsical and vivid vignettes told the story with a fresh interpretation and some forced perspectives in the set design gave the scenes a magical, surreal feel.

Each scene included hand-sculptured figurines and elaborate costumes, including Swarovski crystals adorning Cinderella's glass slipper and wedding gown.

“They developed their own style and voice,” said one judge. “It's nice that they didn't force-feed Christmas into it.”
