Martinez Named Barneys’ Digital Creative Director

Former design vp will lead Internet, social media projects

Christopher Martinez has been named vp, digital creative director, at Barneys New York. In this newly created role, Martinez will be responsible for the visual, interactive and user design experiences on the fashion retailer’s web sites, barneys.com and barneyswarehouse.com, and its private shopping channel, mobile, iPad and other omnichannel digital projects.

Martinez had been named Barneys’ vp, design director, in March 2011. His successor has not been named.
