Mucho Burrito (Mississauga, Ont.), which operates about 40 locations in Canada, is expanding its presence in the U.S. The chain partnered with Subway franchisees Feisal Ramjee and Roy Woolsey to open two restaurants in Seattle in Lynnwood and Renton, Wash., with plans for four more stores in 2012, reports QSR magazine.

Ramjee says the Washington state market is desirable because it is not yet saturated with competitors, like Chipotle, according to an article in QSR.

The chain prepares its menu from scratch, including salsas and guacamole.
