Mulberry Expands in Paris

As British accessories brand Mulberry (Bath, England) continues to expand its retail presence in new markets, it has moved its Paris store to a new, larger space along the Rue Saint Honoré. The new flagship is double the size of the original Mulberry Paris, at 3200 square feet. The location is now Mulberry’s largest European store outside the U.K., according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The Paris flagship carries Mulberry’s full line of women’s and men’s accessories, shoes and ready-to-wear. It features a marble monogramming bar in the center of the space, at which customers can customize their leather goods.

In keeping with the brand’s English countryside roots, the store features leather panels in a Medieval floral motif, similar to the one carved into the stonework of the famous Wells Cathedral in Somerset, England. The leatherwork was created by visual designer Genevieve Bennett. For its first window installation, floral artist Rebecca Louise Law pressed 12,000 blue delphiniums and suspended them from copper wires for a “raining flowers” effect. Mulberry operates 122 stores internationally, and has most recently opened units in Hamburg and Frankfurt Germany, Las Vegas and Dallas.
