New VP at Gucci

Former Celine head will take over new brands

Thierry Andretta has been named vice president of Gucci Group N.V. (Amsterdam), with senior management responsibilities for newly acquired brands. In this position, as of Feb. 1, 2001, he will report to Gucci president and ceo Domenico De Sole. For the last two years, Andretta was acquisitions director at Louis Vuitton Fashion Group. He had previously been president and ceo of the Celine division of LVMH.
