Office Depot Names North American President

Office Depot (Boca Raton, Fla.) has hired former CVS Caremeark president Mark Cosby to head its North American retail division. Cosby, credited with increasing retail profits at the CVS drugstore chain, will oversee Office Depot’s merchandising, marketing, real estate, supply chain, contract sales and e-commerce functions.

According to the South Florida Business Journal, Cosby’s appointment marks the completion of Office Depot’s new executive team assembled by ceo Roland Smith, who was appointed last November. Office Depot and OfficeMax completed its $1.2 billion merger late last year.
