Housing both the jeweler's workshop/studio and his work, this 900-square-foot gallery is an amalgamation of three of the jeweler's images of his space. The overall framework is that of the white-box gallery with wood floor; within that, the reliquary wall on the right side of the store leans in like a cave wall and refers to the ancient catacombs and reliquaries where precious items were stored. In addition, the idea of the contemporary industrial workshop is communicated through the jeweler's work space in the back of the store, clad in galvanized and copper siding. Suspended light fixtures in this area were designed for the space by a local artisan. Tying the project together is the jewelry, which is presented on copper pedestals, in shadowboxes and in custom fixtures in the reliquary wall niches.
