P&G Appoints New CEO

Consumer products company Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati) has named Robert McDonald as its new ceo, effective July 1.

McDonald has 29 years of experience with the company, serving as chief operating officer since 2007. He has helped build the company’s developing markets business and restructure operations.

A.G. Lafley, who became chief executive nine years ago, will remain chairman. McDonald will be the company’s 12th chief executive.
