Prana to Open First SoCal Store

Outdoor clothing company Prana (Carlsbad, Calif.) plans to open its first Southern California store in downtown Encinitas this April. The new store is part of a larger brick-and-mortar growth strategy.

The 3000-square-foot store will be located close to corporate headquarters and will serve as a lab to test new strategies and technologies, reports Women’s Wear Daily

Prana currently owns and operates five stores in Boulder, Colo., Denver, San Francisco, Portland, Ore., and Minneapolis. The company, which Columbia Sportswear Co. bought last year, wants to open three more stores in 2015, possibly in Palo Alto, Calif., Austin, Texas, Seattle, and Park City, Utah, according to WWD.
