Proportion London Craft Bust forms for Victoria and Albert’s Dior Exhibition

Published

on

Proportion London crafted bust forms for V&A’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition ever staged in the UK on the House of Dior.

Based on Christian Dior: Couturier du Rêve, the reimagined exhibition includes a brand-new section “Dior in Britain” which explores, for the first time, the couturier’s love of British culture and his affinity with the royal family.

A romantic, hourglass silhouette named ‘Continental’ was chosen for the bust forms that display rare, regal couture such as the embroidered tulle dress created for Princess Margaret for her 21st birthday.

The exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” runs from February 2 – July 14, 2019 at the V&A. Buy tickets at Vam.ac.uk/exhibitions/dior-designer-of-dreams
