Saks Names New Real Estate Exec

Vince Corno, an attorney and accountant formerly with May Co., will oversee new store development, remodels

Saks Inc. (Birmingham, Ala.) has hired attorney and accountant Vince Corno to become senior vp, real estate. Corno will be responsible for overseeing all real estate matters for Saks Fifth Avenue and Off 5th, including new store development, expansions and remodels, reporting to executive vp and cfo Kevin Wills.

Corno had been vp, development, for Forest City Enterprises Inc. (Cleveland), a $10 billion real estate development and management company. Prior to that, Corno served in several real estate positions with the former May Department Stores Co. (St. Louis), including senior vp of May Realty Inc.

“We are pleased to have someone of Vince’s caliber and background to handle this important area at Saks,” said Wills, “especially as we continue our expansion and remodel program at Saks Fifth Avenue and as we further develop our growth strategy for Off 5th.”
