Second Mixed-Use Building Planned for New Orleans

Arhaus will be complex’s first retail tenant

The Domain Cos., New York and New Orleans-based developer, has announced it will build a second building in New Orleans’ South Market District, a mixed-use transit-oriented development in Downtown New Orleans.

The Park at South Market will feature 27,000 square feet of retail space, a public plaza and 440 garage parking spaces, This building and the other building going up on the site, The Paramount at SouthMarket, will be complete by October 2014.

When completed, The District will have about 170,000 square feet of retail space. Arhaus Furniture has signed a lease to become the first tenant, anchoring the retail component of the project’s first phase with a 15,500-square-foot store. It’s the retailer’s first store in Louisiana.
