Second Quarter Revenue Jump at J.Crew

Same-store sales also came in strong

For the second quarter of fiscal 2012, J.Crew Group Inc. (New York) saw revenues increase 21 percent, with comparable company sales up 14 percent. Store sales grew 24 percent to $384.0 million. Direct sales increased 16 percent to $134 million.

The multi-channel apparel and accessories retailer operates 285 retail stores, including 236 J.Crew retail stores, eight crewcuts stores, 41 Madewell store and 99 factory stores. The company was acquired by investment funds affiliated with TPG Capital, L.P. and Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. in March 2011.
